Bakit walang SSA congruence?

Ang congruence theorem ay isa sa mga strategies upang malaman kung ang dalawang triangles ay congruent.  Halimbawa, ang SSS congruence ay nagsasabi na kapag tatlong corresponding sides ng dalawang triangles ay congruent, ang dalawang triangles ay congruent. Dalawa pang halimbawa ng congruence theorem ay ang SAS at ASA. Ngayon, bakit walang SSA congruence?

Kung halimbawang may SSA congruence, kapag dalawang makatabing side ay congruent, at ang angle na hindi napagitnaan ng sides ay congruent, dapat ang dalawang triangles ay congruent. Kung makakapagpakita tayo ng isang counterexample, mapapatunayan na natin na walang SSA Congruence.

Ang figure sa itaas ay nagpapatunay na walang SSA Congruence. Sa dalawang triangles, ABC at ABD, ang AC ay congruent sa AD (S), AB ay congruent sa AB (S), at ang angle B ay congruent sa angle B (A). Pero dalawang triangles sila na hindi congruent. Samakatuwid, hindi pwedeng gamitin ang SSA bilang congruence theorem.
