Practice Exercise

Evaluate the following algebraic expressions.

1.)  $3x - 4$ where $x = 3$

2.) $5y^2 - 3$ where $y =2$

3.) $- 6m + 4$ where $m = \frac{1}{3}$

4.) $\frac{4a}{3} + 2$ where $a = -6$

5.) $10t - 14$ where $t = 0.5$

6.) $3r + 2s$ where $r = -2$ and $s = 5$
