MF3 Multiplication of Fractions (Shortcut)

In MF1, we learned how to multiply proper and improper fractions and in MF2, we learned how to multiply mixed fractions. In this post, we are going to learn some shortcut method to help us multiply fractions faster. Some call this technique the cancellation method where you cancel the numerator and the denominator of the fractions being multiplied. Here, cancellation really means dividing both the numerator and the denominator by the same number (much better you divide them by their GCD) to reduce them to a smaller number. This way, multiplication will be easier.
